|
I tried everything I know, trying to stop "who wants to be a millionaire"'s countdown timer, nothing worked.
Searching for unknown then decreased etc' etc'.. trying everything (Byte to double), set the speed to 0, nothing stopped the timer.
I tried it a few times, I made sure I do everything correct, nothing seems to work.
-Its not a flash, PC game.
Suggestions? thanks.

tried pausing the game fully? (advanced options pause button) And then continue a few seconds later?
Does the time go down then as well?
Also, is it a online game ?

I just fully paused and it worked
No, not an online game.
So what is the difference between setting the speed to 0 and fully pause?
How do you get to fully pause w/o using the button?
Thanks!

full pause is where it stops executing code completly. So no increase of counters by timers threads, etc...
speedhack only changes the default timing routines that ask what the current time is

OK that still doesn't work, I was wrong.
The game stops working when you fully pause, but the timer is actually keeps decreasing.
I think that means its based on timer outside that program (I suppose..).
I tried to decrease a minute on the computer's timer (seconds aren't able to decrease).. and it didn't work.
I'm out ideas, and this is getting interesting. =)
Anything?

| Maybe there is no timer, and it just records the time the timer would start, and then just checks elasped time between current time and time of start. You could also try searching for an increasing value as well, lets say you have 30 seconds, maybe the count is from 0 to 30.
