Since I'm getting a 4850 I assume I'll need a stronger PSU. So I decided on this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817709010
I know its cheap but its all I can afford right now.
If you guys can suggest one that costs no more than 30 dollars including shipping that would be awesome.

If you were too look at the reviews the power supply seems to have a lot of unhappy customers. Thats not a good thing for it.So i don't think its worth buying a cheap PSU :3 Might just ruin your whole system.
Btw if your Canadian use newegg.ca

I second that :3
But yes cheap PSU can destroy your system if there that badly made xD. PSU is pretty important compared to everything else. If your PSU is unstable your screwed

Holy shit, that PSU is fucking nice. But the minimum req for a 4850 is 450 watts.

Save up and buy corsair or coolermaster. A 4850 only needs 450w but you may want more head room.

Cheapo PSU don't actually delivers the correct wattage labeled ( can someone confirmed this? as the PSU OP listed can pull off ~200 at most.)
Man up some cash or enjoy firework.

Man up some cash or enjoy firework. | This. You want something stronger than what you need. The more expensive ones do what they say.

No PSU that costs under $50 is worth buying.
A power supply like this one will last you forever.

A power supply like this one will last you forever. | Thats the shit I have, and they are known to have high fail rates. Nice going man. You won't get a hardcore psu for less than 100 bucks anyway.

I have t he 700w version, which works like a charm. The 500w version got good enough reviews for me to assume that it's probably just as good as it's big brother, I'm wrong?

For its ratings is decent enough. People have reported it fails if it passes its efficiency rate % in power usage. So if it uses more than 80% it could fail. I had issues with it but it turned out the plug was falling out the back. Haven't had a problem since xD. Anyway, never cheap out on a psu. Mine cost 70 bucks actually. I never got that rebate.
