Will reading memory from games with anti-cheat software result in a ban? Or do most of them only ban when doing actual modification to the memory?
I'm not sure how they work, but what about GameGuard, VAC, and Warden. Do they only ban during modification?

| To be safe on games that use VAC, join a non-VAC server.

Sweet, I've been experimenting with Arduino's, and I figure I can write an AI to actually do what I want based on positions in memory.
Since they can't actually check the hardware I use to control my game with, I plan to make some software that grabs memory values of things like my position, enemy positions, and other things and relay those back to the device to send commands to the game. You could essentially make a hardware controlled aimbot. A MMORPG macro bot. Just about anything.
