Ok, first of all, yes i suck at cheat engine..

Yes i know how to scan basically.. like 4 byte.. x8 with flash game's and exact number with normal games..

But most of the time i get nothing.. =\

I'm not to sure how to do anything other than that usual stuff...in some reflexive games all i'm able to change is the money by not x8 just using the exact number.. but most of the time i scan with exact number and x8 and get nothing when i press next scan and i can't work out the problem and was hoping someone could help me.

With this game [Aveyond Lord of Twilight] i'm not able to get any value not even gold..

If you can help that would be great.

You need to search for unknown value and it may happen that You will find it. (I was able to find an item's (cheese) value this way and change the amount to 499999.) Save Your game before You try to scan and change a value. You have a high chance of crashing the game.

EDIT:
If You wish to find cheese for example, search for the cheese's amount x 2 + 1

Eg.
You have 10 cheese then You need to search for 21.
If You have 45 cheese, You search for 91.

Most likely You will find the other items this way too. When You change it, make sure to apply this rule to the new value too, use numbers that can not be divided with 2, or else the game will crash.

EDIT2:
You can find the gold this way too. The max amount of gold is 9 999 999.
