I messed up my beta registration for it ;-; signed up my laptop 1 month before I got my awesome desktop .... I didnt get in ;-;

People seem to think that when applying for a beta they want you to have some amazing computer.
Is that accurate? I always thought one of the major purposes of beta testing was having a lot of people on varying computer set-ups.
(Of course they also want to make sure to have plenty of users to test the content itself, but you get my question)

the porpoise of the specs survey on FFXIV was to filter users because it is a nextgen online game. It was not to balance the engine because it was already done.
