Hello to everyone viewing this thread,
I'm using Windows Vista and when I try to run CE 5.6 (or any other version) I keep on getting a UAC Pop-up (User Account Control)
I know some of you might say 'Run As Admin' but my brother wouldn't allow me to run it.
Can you help me?
EDIT: Like a way to run it without the pop-up?

if his account has been limited so he can't run stuff as admin I doubt he will be able to disable it.
My suggestion is beat your brother till he gives you the admin password so you can disable it
also, ce 5.4 or 5.3 or earlier should be able to run without that pop-up
Downside is that because you're not running as admin, there's not going to be much you can do with it

| disable UAC if you have a standard AV program. I use ESET and I know it has the same thing but only once per program per first connect to the net.

UAC is pretty useless in my opinion, you should have it disabled anyway.

Yeah really. I haven't heard of one person mention a time when UAC told them a program was trying to do something that they didn't want it to do, and I've asked plenty of people.

Not on my desktop at least. On my xp netbook I have but not in a few months. On my desktop, which has 7 pro, not 1 virus since I built it. UAC is useless.

Use ophcrack to crack his password, then you can either fill in the password, or disable UAC by going to control panel to:
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\User Accounts
Just slide the little bar all the way down.
