Alright. I need some help picking out a good Hard Drive for the Alienware M17x.
Pricing isn't a problem, so whatever. Here's what's available for the M17x. (Attached.)Please excuse the horrible SS, Just did it on paint.
If you're wondering what the other specs are, tell me and I'll post them. |

The 5400 rpm drives are better on the battery, though with some cut to "performance" (really depends what you're running).
Hell though, for those prices, get the cheapest (-$130) and buy one of these to put in yourself.
Else, troll. |

They've still got a few limitations and I probably wouldn't put all that money down for one. Unless you have a specific need for one, get the larger and cheaper HDD. |

Yeah, it's beyond me how they justify claiming that a 640 gb 5400 rpm drive is $130 MORE than a 7200 rpm 250 gb drive. |
