How do I cheat?

I have a couple of questions. First can i hack gold, skill point and level amounts in online games? Can I for all games? If I can't how can i tell if gold, skill...... etc. point hacking will work in some games? Also is it legal?
The game im trying to hack is on kongregate . com Cursed treasure: dont touch my gems.... its a defence game and everything i try doesnt work.
... please help.... haha

You usually cannot cheat gold, skillpoints/experience or levels in online game. If you manage to edit it, it is usually only temporary, as it is client side, not server side. I put "cheat" in bold because that is what Cheat Engine does. Hacking is obtaining unauthorized access to the games servers and databases and such and changing things.
Cheating is not legal if your games terms of service forbid it. If it is not in the terms of service or rules, then it is technically legal (though usually highly frowned upon and you may end up getting banned).
