Hi folks,

I apologize if this has been asked before, but I didn't see what I was looking for. What tools are currently required to build a working CE? I gather that some free downloads from MS are required. Is the IFS kit also required? Is it free nowadays? Last time I looked at it, it was thousands of dollars to license. Does CE v 5 still require Delphi circa 2006? Does Lazarus compile v5? Is there a "lite" version of Delphi available that can get the job done at a free or reduced price?

for ce 5.x:
Delphi 7 enterprise (you'll have to strip the xml support like copy/paste in the normal versions)

for ce 6:
Lazarus (svn 26444 or later)

for the driver:
Windows DDK 7600.16538 (or later, not sure)
