Basically it costs 3p (£) to print a single black and white page and 30p for colour at my uni ( ). A little window pops up with your balance (this is probably stored on some server, so probably impossible to hack)
But what about hacking the page number in word, or the window that pops up when you press print? Theres also a confirmation window telling you how much it will cost.
Just need a little info before I waste my time trying.

The print request is sent to a print server, which does all the calculations on cost and returns the info. It's all server side, you can't hack it.
It's 3p to print a page, don't bitch. Universities have a budget and if everyone had your mentality and just tried to steal free print-outs the level of education would suffer more than it already has due to budget cuts. _________________
