4gb sounds kinda pointless
even at enormous resolutions i'd expect you to become severely bound by something else (fillrate probably) before framebuffer size.

some Nvidia card code name or some garbage. I looked it up and it needs 650w with both an 6 and 8 pin, which is obvious from the pictures.

How excessive. I have a 1 gb 5870 that can play crysis at all of the highest settings at ~60 fps at 1680x1050. Whyt the fuck would anyone need such a card, and for twice as much!?
The only thing I'm glad about is the fact that amd has realized that it's reached the point of diminishing returns as far as graphics cards go. Hopefully, that means the in the near future, all computers will start to have pretty much the same graphics, which will be able to do pretty much every thing.

You mad? 1680x1050 is noting, real man gaem at 1920x1200 X 3 with eyefinity or dual 2560x1440
There is never going to be diminishing returns, unless you are going with console graphic with current gen GPU. , it took us 3 year to finally get crysis@ max setting,2560x1440,60fps.
Oh yeah, also massive e-peen is serious business.

Isn't that kind of awesome though? Crysis was a game built to strong for The current gfx cards? I wish game companies would make games way higher requirement more often. They can do so much more.

No, that's dumb, no one is going to buy a game they can't play, and if someone makes a game with super high requirements that hardly anyone is able to play, it won't make any sales.
Plus, I think you're forgetting that Crysis is not a good game.

Because when a game is good, it will sell even if everyone has to play on medium settings. What they need to do is just have high settings that most gfx cards will preform decently on, and then very high for extreme.

Most people "played" Crysis for benchmarking lol. hence why it sold so well, BECAUSE IT TOOK FUCKING 3 YEAR TO MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO PLAY AT IT MAX WITH 60FPS
