I have Starcraft: Brood War on my computer (the one you can download from Battle.net so the disk isn't required). It comes with the download as version 1.15.2. Connecting to Battle.net patches it if necessary. 1.16.1 is the most recent version, so it patches me to that. Problem is, afterwards the menus are really screwed up. The picture below is what the Expansion Campaign menu looks like. I've tried compatibility mode with no success; anyone know what to do? (I want to be able to use Battle.net; I'm not just sticking with 15.2.)

You confused me! D: Why are you complaining about v1.15 when you said you patched to 1.16?

I had this problem b4, all I did was connect to battlenet, and it removed that stuff.

Perhaps reinstalling will work, if gogodr's idea doesn't.

I had that problem with Vista a year or so ago. It was fine when you go into game, although I only played online.

Even so, I'd rather it didn't glitch or whatever.

What operating system is this again? Have you tried all the regular compatibility modes, disabled visual effects, etc.?

I'm running Windows 7 Professional. I've already tried each Compatibility mode already. Is there anything else I can do?

this looks like a pretty common problem according to google and there's no shortage of things to try.

search 'starcraft bad colors'

Thank you.
One of those sites provided the answer of putting the check next to each compatibility setting, and that worked. Thanks everyone!
