So guys I have mirrors edge bought and paid for in my steam account.
I also have an ISO of a legit copy of the game.
Can I use the ISO rip to install the game and save having to download it? (I live in Australia and thus have limited bandwidth)

No, even if you enter the product key in steam and verify by putting the disc in the drive, it still downloads it.

this is why Steam has a BACKUP function for games.

this is why Steam has a BACKUP function for games. |
I tried to get one of my mates to backup his copy and burn it to a disc, but he's a faggot and never got around to it.
Now I have 2 weeks of holidays and want some single player games to play.

If you want, I could download it for you on my computer (you could change the password on your steam account) and give you the product key (Steam puts the product keys in the same place in the registry).
