Well I got the Beats by Dr Dre solo edition i had them for about two days and they snapped when i tried to put them on my head. So i got a refund and i loved the way the sounded and was wondering some good headphones for about 0-150$ USD that have good bass and such. Any suggestions?

| the HD555 seem to be the same headphones as the 595 (same drivers) but without a foam piece in each ear to prevent sound leak which can be removed =p just incase you want to save a bit more money

| Get the Grado SR80(i), they're pretty great for a relatively modest price of $100. Bass is very clear, if that's all you're interested in.

Well I mean I just love bass but I don't want it to drown out the other stuff, that's why I liked the beats but they were cheaply made.

I do have the HD555, and in my opinion the bass is good, and well defined, but I hear a lot of audiowhores saying that they don't have the best bass. They are fantastic for the price though.

I also looked at reviews of the HD555 they are HUGE i was planning to use this with my ipod, wouldn't they be clunky?

yes, but its worth it. stay away from grados, they have NO bass.
see the attachment. the sennheisers and denons will have way better bass than the beats, and that is the studios not the cheap ones.
