Depends on if it's something fun. Usually it's not that fun to just level and such by boosting, but for instance Modern Warfare 2 and Fallout 3 on my Xbox 360. I mod my gamertag on Modern Warfare 2 for shits and giggles, while on Fallout 3 I mod duplicates of my items when I'm running low.

I only cheat on games just for the fun of it. If I want challenge, I try not to cheat and beat it once through.

I cheat in MMO's as they're just grinding.

I don't cheat in FPS or games that require strategy or skill.

I only cheat when it comes making a game go by faster, or I'll hack it so I can enjoy the story, rather than the game on some occasions.

I cheat when I can no longer be bothered going through the levels or if I can't finish a level/the game.

I also cheat when I'm playing online games (RPGs/MMORPGS)
As well as when people get cocky and think they are all top shit.

Multiplayer = No.
Singleplayer = Reserved for after I beat it, but if I can't help it, it's done in a separate save file.

Bad games that are more fun to play with cheats than without (mostly flash games), or flash games that people claim are unhackable. I don't generally hack non-flash games apart from for learning; most of the time I find them more fun to play without cheats.
