If there's a CFW out for the GO!, then yes, get one. If not, get a slim&lite, or any other model with a CFW.
I've still got a PSP Fat. About 4 years old now. Works perfectly fine :3

First and foremost, don't get a PSP go if you already have a PSP 1000.

Just install a custom FW on there and get some homebrew, or if you roll like that, some ripped games.

Secondly, don't turn in your games to GameStop. You'd have to actually be an idiot to do it.
