I have a Gigabyte GA-MA78GPM-DS2H motherboard and 4 rams. All ddr2 667. 2 1gb and 2 2gb.

Only these day, my 2gb rams begin to have problems.
My first 2gb ram which have problem first cannot be detected. I plug in in ram, it should be 6gb. But only 4gb is detected (I am running on x64). And the weird thing is it can boot. I thought if the ram have error, the whole motherboard cannot boot up.

My second ram about every week it have problems...
It just suddenly when mad and i cannot on my computer, until I plug in and out retry and retry then suddenly it works.
This like happen almost every week.

I felt that it might be the motherboard problem cos both 2gb ram spoil so suddenly like about the same time.
My 1gb rams are all fine. So, whats the problem?

Run Memtest86+ on individual DIMMs ("rams"). You could do them all at once, but it takes a long time and if you can't understand the output it's pretty useless to you.

You have to check that your device is support that much memory or not . Sometimes it's depend upon processor . Once reboot system may be your problem will be resolve .

Did you even try to find anything about your motherboard? It may be that your processor is restricting the memory, I'm no expert but maybe you or others could read it up and find out; http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Motherboard/Products_Spec.aspx?ClassValue=Motherboard&ProductID=2859&ProductName=GA-MA78GPM-DS2H
