| I laughed at how XBox 360 has three discs for Final Fantasy 13, where the game is rendered at 576p. While the PS3 has one disc for this game, where cut-scenes are rendered at 1080p, and gameplay is at 720p. Not to mention that the wait time (loading screens) take several seconds longer than the PS3 wait times. Why would those fanboys still debate 360 superiority when it's hardware clearly isn't cutting it, while comparing the same game?

True enough. I probably won't play FF13 though, It looks too... well I don't know. Most of the Japan reviews hated it, and if they hated it... We might rip it to shreds. Versus looks good.

I'm playing it right now, they started selling it a few days early here because of some stores being in competition with one another over the LC edition sales. They ended up selling the game on arrival (which was friday). I've been playing it for two days now.

It's awesome, but definitely not from the start. I think the main point many old-fashioned FF players stumble on, is the fact that the first 1/3 of the game is linear. And I mean... LINEAR. Straight line, from A to B. Normally you'd have a map, with several towns or dungeons you could visit. Not this time.
They've spend most of their effort teaching you the new battle system the first 1/3 of the game. After that period of time the 'world' opens up and you are free to roam where you wish to roam. Not as much as in previous versions of FF, but still you have some nice mobility. Seriously though, Paradigm Shift is the most extensive battle system found in any Final Fantasy game.
I would recommend buying the game. It's worth well over 70 hours of gameplay, and the storyline is well done. It's quite unfortunate that the Japanese language pack is not available for download (as they synced the lips of the cutscenes of the western version of FFXIII with the English voices), but the voice-acting is done superbly. I was very pleasantly surprised (aside from Vanille, her voice is so annoying that, when giving the chance, I will murder her).
