Things that you don't need.
hyper threading ,QPI shit, triple channel memory, and more shits that doesn't fit for normal day uses.
Gaeming > Phenom II X4 955, 555, 965, or i5 at most.

Well, the i7 is currently the most powerful CPU on the market. However, no game will use it's full potential. A Phenom II X4 will have similar performance to an i7 in a game. |

Recommended will already be more than enough. I'm still used to playing games on low from my old computer, playing them on highest settings is something I'm still getting used to. If I have so much as one instance of low framerate, even for a second, I turn settings down a notch. I also never do AA or whatever the other thing is that doesn't exactly increase visuals but kind of does. |
They are people that was full 60/120 fps with all the AA at a very high resolution, (eyefinity setup, 2560x1440,)
Of course, this gaem is mostly going to have the "The meant to be played" sticker all over it,

Uhh.. Any opinions on if i should re-build or not? I have these specs:
Proc: AMD Anthlon X2 3.0ghz
Mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157161
Ram: 2x2G 1333 DDR3 SDRAM
PowerSupp: 700W
Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 4850 (XFX)
Someone offered $600 to buy it. Should i sell it/could i build a better one if i do?

| Get an athlon 2 x4 atleast. I use one for gaming. The Phenom seems to be the athlon with a L3 cache. Originally athlon 2 x4 had an l3 that could be unlocked. They later changed the die.

Yeah, but do you think that i can get a better build by selling this one & building a new one? Could i get one w/ a better Vid card?

Now that you're thinking more of upgrading, I'm thinking that you don't really need a new processor. Athlon x2 is fine. You could probably sell your video card for 100$ easily, and get a new, better one like a 5770 or a 5830. It's all in the video card these days, most games.

Hm. True. Could you help me find a good one on newegg or something that wont rape all my money? =/.. Im horrible at video card shopping. I find a good one, then the next day i find one better and yeah. Any suggestions xD

With which you can play all but the most graphically intense games(one of my friends has a computer with one of the badasses, I know from experience that they're pretty awesome!). You don't want black/xtreme/xxx editions, because their small increases in clock speed are actually only factory overclocks, resulting in common overheating and other problems. Avoid them. Best of all, low money raping.

Funfact: XFX has the shittiest cooler of all market, AKA we make our own PCB so your cooler won't cool the ram, and they lock their own voltage, so hardcore overclocking on normal version is impossible.
@OP, look for the 955BE C box, 965 if you want it to be comparable to the i5,i7,
remember, 5770 is never a good single solution card at a higher resolutiuon.

Well, i have a 1920x1080 monitor. 4850 has been pretty good so far. Only reason i wanted to upgrade was because of DX11. So far i could play pretty much everything decently at high, except for dark void.. which was horrible on high..

Well, it depends. For $600 now, you could get a computer that is a bit better than your current one, which would be identical to mine. Athlon II X4 620 @2.8 (easily oc'd to 3.0 or higher), 4870 (but you should get the 5770), etc. However, if you wait until summer, $600 will buy you a lot more, but whoever was willing to buy your computer then most likely won't now for the same price, unless that person is clueless. Hope for that, and build anew in the summer.

Meh. I think its gonna take too much work. Im probably just going to upgrade to a quad core now, and get a better card later on, Im not in too big of a hurry for that. If prices will drop in summer, ill get mine then.

Funfact: Sapphire has the biggest fan. I know because the one on mine takes up alot of space on it. And it does work hell bent. Very quiet. I put it at 70% and turned the clock from 650mhz to 700 (not a big diff really) and it stays plenty cool. Normally the stupid thing will only run the fan at 36 - 45% but mine is a constant 70% fan speed.
