Wow im hearing so many different things.. if a matx does fit in a mid-tower, ill just get a matx mobo w/ a mid-tower. Since theres not that big of a difference, i dont really mind. |
Clearly elpacco couldn't read:
Code: | Motherboard Compatibility Flex ATX, Micro ATX, ATX, Extended ATX |
Unless he meant something completely different.

Alright.. Well straight out, Matx WILL fit in a midtower without any problems right, and there are no downsides to having an matx over an atx?

matx is smaller, so don't even dream putting the longest graphic card known to man that's about it.

The only difference is that it is smaller, which means a few things. One, less features due to a lack of room for things. Two, more heat due to everything being cramped up next to eachother. Three, lolhuegcables will make your job 20 times harder than they would normally. The only positive of matx is that the smaller size gives you the capabilities of fitting it in a tiny case, but if you WANT a big case, then why the fuck would you go with a matx motherboard?
You're not using any logical thought process into deciding what to get.

It is cheaper to go mATX if money is a problem, but it doesn't seem like to to OP.

Read the specs of the case! It clearly says that it can have mATX motherboard so you are fine with that case with a mATX board.

Lol mATX. Is this a troll thread? OP, get ATX because the cases are cooler and they won't heat up as much.

The larger the board that will got into case, that case will most likely fit boards which are smaller to its specificied motherboard size.
The size description of a case does not determine the type of board that will fit in.
e.g. A FullTower case does not mean you can fit in large boards.
Antec 1200 are CoolerMaster Cosmos S are both FullTower cases, but
the Antec 1200 can only fit in a mATX and ATX while the
Cosmos S can fit mATX,ATX, and Extended-ATX
