Asus G60 with these specs http://cooltoyzph.com/viewitem.php?iid=766
for 1 650 USD.
They showed me a 3dmark score of 9600+ live so I got hooked up.
I was gonna buy a Hp Dv7 which was 1 865 USD with these specs http://cooltoyzph.com/viewitem.php?iid=770 but it only scored 6600+ on 3dmark, and then they recommended me a cheaper laptop which was the Asus G60 but with better performance
I'll try to upgrade the ram of the G60 when I'm confident enough or really need it.
Did I get a good laptop? Did I make the right choice?

The laptop you chose is a good laptop, they both are. The 2nd one does have a better processor, but the graphics card in the asus one is better.

Asus G73JH-A1/A2. A2 doesn't include a BR drive, but about $100 cheaper.
The model has pretty good reviews, most commenting the performance:price ratio. For the price it's definitely a beast, paring up to the Alienware laptops. Downside is that most are sold out and on back-order.

I was gonna get that but that shit is 2100$ here. I had to cut my budget for my reasons. ALSO, the g60 is part of the gaming rigs of Asus.
And yeah, seeing that the g73 reaches 10k - 12k on 3dmark06. I think I'm satisfied with my purchase. I'll try to Overclock this since it Allows me to.
@nick
Yeah I think the HP one wasn't worth it. Well ok thanks, I was just a bit unsure.

I still remember wasting $1500 for a G1 series (8600M,c2d) just to play WoW, that money was well spend.
OP, just make sure of the temperatures, and if you really plan to go outside without plugs, have a backup battery or something.

Yeah, okay. Temperature seems fine everywhere. The vent goes to about 40-60c but other than that, it's pretty cool. The adapter however, I think reaches about 80c+.
Okay, thanks. I feel more satisfied with my purchase. And after using it for a while. I am more satisfied than ever.
