intergrating driver packs... testing then releasing a minimal release... vlite doesn't work the way i wanted... so stripping and using batch install files from windows xp black untill something better comes along

Your problem lies within preference by the user. If you add default media players, the user may not want that. You should add functionality to be able to choose from a list of several.
Microsoft has also been forced to do that with the browsers. They randomly generate the positioning of IE, Firefox, Opera and Chrome so as to remove bias.

There was this website that let you create installers from a list of programs. I forgot what it was called but it was amazing.
