Cheat Engine

I am trying to cheat in age of empires. I want to change nr of wood.

I found address 098F1AB2 but soon as i change it, game changes it back to it's old value.

So i decided fo find pointer for this address and found one but what next?

anyway? does anyone know how to stop game from resetting the adress value?

first step will be finding the real address and not the display address.
so keep searching

then when found it and changing it actually changes it in the game (so when you get or remove something it doesn't change back to what it was plus or minus the small update)

then find out what accesses that address and go from there.

i am sure 098F1AB2 is not a pointer.

did you play age of empire ?
it's useing float value.
