Cheat Engine

I made an option in wolfenstein (new one) to stop the veil power meter going down, works great everytime from cheat engine -5.6- but when i make a stand alone trainer (i have made many working ones before) the option only seems to work if i have the game process open in a cheat engine window (making the trainer slightly useless) is there something i don't know about 5.6 that i did wring?

what kind of cheat is it, an auto assembler script or just an address/pointer ?

script, its in the "advanced" window, the kind you can right click on and say "replace with code that does nothing" it works if i load the table each time which means the value doesnt change during gameplay

i just tested the trainer again and it doesnt work at all, even with CE on

does the entry turn red or does it stay black ?

Also, when the game runs, the initial state of the game is unedited?

it turns red and all looks promising, but the code is ineffective, no other modifications have been done to the game since making the trainer and finding the code in CE

If you open ce and look at the address that is supposed to be nopped, does it change or does it stay the same ? (and make sure it's not already nopped)

just tested it, loaded up CE, loaded wolfenstein into process list and then ran the code from the trainer,it didnt change the code in the Advanced window! (this is bad right?)

it doesn't have to be changed trough advanced menu you need to look at the memory view win to see what ever if it's changes with trainer or not. Wink

well, basically the trainer doesn't work. ones Ive made before worked fine... dont know of its a problem with CE or if the fact that im using win 7 64 bit.

I'll look into it. Perhaps the trainer it generates is just broken, or it's a admin requirements problem

ok, i made several different trainers all with the one option, and changed them by adding pictures and different icons, some were locked and some unlocked.. none worked.
