the only reason to not like rap is because you don't understand the lyrics, really some shit that you'll say "makes no sense, thats stupid" has a way deeper meaning.

no theres where you're COMPLETELY wrong. this is what makes rap unique, its more than similes and metaphors, the way that they rap puts things together that cannot be achieved in other music. sure you could say in a death metal song that what the lyrics say have another context to be used in, but they are singing/screaming it, they cannot put the words together in a way that the word literally has a different meaning instead of just a metaphor for something.
rap is rap, because they are rapping, its not quiet poetry, but it can be used in the same way, you cant say this about singing.

this is more than opinion, disliking it is his opinion, but why he dislikes it has some kind of fact to it. saying i dislike oranges is a opinion, but saying that i dislike them because they have too much citrus, is more than an opinion because its a fact oranges have citrus. its a fact that rap lyrics are used much more differently than any form of singing.
also another reason that someone wouldn't like rap is that they don't relate to it, but theres more than just rappers that rap about money and hoes.

no, the meaning of all music is to sound appealing to the listener. thats the meaning to everything sold, to be best for the consumer.
I don't sell my music. But I still want my message to be heard across my music. Your point is invalid in this case.
uh no, im pretty sure i said it wants to be appealing to the listener, whether or not its free it doesn't matter, though the appeal can be reduced and work less hard on something not being sold, and its true that all things sold want to be appealing to consumers.
