Well, you said you know hex, octal, binary, etc.
If ASCII code for 'a' is 61 in hexadecimal, it's 97 in decimal, 141 in octal, 1100001 in binary. Different ways to invoke ascii characters in html, programming languages, etc.

They're not entirely languages, more systems to represent numbers. You could pretty easily put the number to say, base 3 (10121?), but binary, octal and hex (as well as decimal) are the most commonly found when working with computers.
It shouldn't be too hard to find a primer on binary and number systems like octal and hex that go by powers of two if you want to understand it better.

I don't understand either.
What do you mean you want to hide a girl name behind something?
If you want a simple, easy to learn programming language for the windows environment, I'd use VB, but most other people will now probably flame me.

Uh, you can hash something with MD5 but you can't decode it.

VB is a programming language. You can not hide a name in a language that's done in plain English, and you're not even understanding what he wants.
