Sleepcycle.

iPhone app that records your sleep.
Has an alarm that goes of when it thinks you're most awake (it's all based on how much you move around in your sleep).

I downloaded Insomnia from cydia so it functions like an iPhone, when it's in sleep mode the wifi and accelerometer stay on, so you can have an app running / something downloading while the screen is off. The only reason they don't recommend it for iPod's is so that it doesn't overheat.
