its still on beta development
this took me like 20 minutes to render. this plugin is pretty impressive, with the default Hair and Fur from 3DsMax a render like that would have taken days and without that much details

The part where it fades out is kinda weird, looks more like sand than hair. Or maybe if it's really dry hair. o-o;
Besides that, that's actually pretty cool.

I agree.
Let's hope gogodr doesn't start making furry 3d porn.

Quite detailed work, I would love to see when you add it to a model, I think it would fit just right in

I also think it is a very grainy/sand'ish effect on the end of the rope

It dissipates too much towards the top.
Ropes also commonly have frizzy flyaway strands everywhere along it, due to the thin, wound fibers being so thin and prone to breaking.
It's nigh impossible to find a rope whose strands are as neat and uniform as yours.
Cool rendering; you made it way too neat, though.

I'm guessing that he was just testing the rendering capabilities of the plugin, not necessarily all the realistic effects and what not. A 20 minute render time for that many individual strands including shadows is quite impressive.
