Hey everyone, I've tried reading up on this a little bit, but haven't had much luck. I've used Cheat Engine for quite awhile and was wondering if things like "ZF" were proprietary to Cheat Engine or just an abbreviation for a universal term. Also, I'd like to know what "EAX","EIP" and such stand for and how they relate to programs.
Are there any reference guides or resources available to explain this or the basics of reverse engineering? Dark Byte, you had to get your start somewhere right?
Thanks for your help everyone.

I'm fairly sure "EAX" and "EIP" are just the disassembler regular variables. They're like the standard letters used to hold addresses and values in hex form. Also I've never heard of "ZF" so I don't think they go with CE.

| When you change the register at a certain location, you have options there. Those are primarily what I'm talking about.
