I've been playing Red Alert 3 with a friend of mine over LAN and we both want to be able to use cheat engine so we can play the game without the hassle of money but even if we both enter the same values, the game plays fine for maybe a minute then I guess it goes out of sync and disconnects us. Is there anyway to get past that?

I would try just hacking on the 'host' PC and trying it that way first (editing the second persons cash from the server too). Usually it will propagate properly to all clients this way and not de-sync. Though i'm not about the c&c series exactly.

Both game clients constantly keep checking the important values like money etc. so the trick is probably to freeze the money values in both computers.
What I've done with my friend when playing Generals was this:
First I scanned and found the address for MY money and then HIS money. but I didn't freeze them yet.
Second I let my friend scan for BOTH money addresses on HIS PC.
Third we froze BOTH values on BOTH PCs at the same time.
This way the game is tricked. It still keeps checking and comparing the values of the two clients but since they're both frozen, they're both the same and no error is detected.

I'll definitely try both these tactics see if I have luck with any of them.

Yeh it all sounds good in theory doesn't it! But the odds of you actually making the change at the exact same time (i'm talking down to milliseconds here) is extremely unlikely. I do remember that c&c games posed problems when doing this. You can though, hack the game start cash amounts. This would mean any enemies would start with that too, but maybe it's worth a shot doing it this way?

Yeh no shit Noko. If you actually bothered to read, you wouldn't have needed to post that. I think I know how it works somehow...
