wait for a better jailbreak for the 3g only one out right now is tethered which means when you run out of batteries or turn it off the only way to get your ipod to work again is to plug it into your computer and run a program.

it is tethered, but only time you would need to rejailbreak it is when you turn it off (which i never because when you turn it on again it wastes 5% battery or so) or if you fuck your ipod up which doesnt happen if your not a retard =3
