Okay so i have this problem. Im pretty good with CE. I can find my way around. I can use auto assemble, can use CE to find memory in any non protected game.

My problem that im having this time, is im Permabanned by a game by what i believe is an IP ban. Its actually a range ban, my whole ISP. He got desperate.

Anyway, i figure that the game client looks up my IP, encrypts it, sends the packet to the server, and reads the result to find out if im banned or not. What i want to do is edit what it says my IP is before it encrypts and sends it. Also this game is not protected by any anti hacking software like PB or hackshield.

I figured if i could find where my IP is stored in the client w/ CE, i can either edit the value, or go into Olly and simply NOP the code, so it sends either nothing, or an empty IP.

I doubt the client sends your IP encrypted to the server to be checked. Your client probably sends a login packet and then serverside the server knows your IP because you just sent a login packet, then sends one back saying you're banned. If you're range banned, why not try a free vpn like ItsHidden? (look it up, i cant post urls)

ya man i tried itshidden along w/ several other VPN's, most of them have already been used for this game and are already banned Sad

The thing is, when sniffing around the client w/ olly, i found alot of ASCII along the lines of ExternalID, InternalID, Local IP, things like that.

You absolutety CANNOT mess with that. Even if you did alter some connection info, you will almost certainly drop the connection between yourself and the server, so it's all a pointless exercise. The only way to hide/spoof your IP is to route through a proxy. Although these tend to be web-only or only operate on common services/ports and not on those that games use. In addition the extra latency incurred routing through these is never worth it when playing a game.

I know something that might work if you are using windows. I use peerguardian, I don't think I can post URl's either but it really does work and deals with proxy servers. This might or might not help you, however, I use peerguardian on my other computer for multi-purposes...

Like I said, the chances of it working on a game that uses non-standard proxy ports is a wasted effort. Further posts are pointless as I answered this already. Also no respond from the OP in a week; I don't think he could actually give a toss.
