I have to say that these open world RPG type games are the only games that affect me in any way, it happened with Mass Effect, Fallout 3, and Oblivion, and now it's happening with Dragon Age, when I play these games I actually feel like I'm in the game, and the charactor is an extension of me in the game world, I feel like it's real, I almost feel like some crazed method actor, however, it only when I'm playing the game, as soon as I pause it or turn it off I'm back to reality,

I think that this is the most extreme example though, I did the romance thing in Mass Effect, but I I didn't feel as attached to Liara as I do to Morrigan, the way I felt when the demon in the shade slapped her was how I would feel if someone hurt Maryanne, and I gladly killed it, whenever there's a battle I almost always find myself protecting her, after I gave her the grimore and went back to camp, she said how her tent was cold, and I gladly warmed it up with her, when she gave me the ring I felt touched, as if it had actually happened, sometimes I wish that I could live in the Dragon Age world, then it would all be real.

Sometimes I wish certain games were real because I love the storyline so much. Thinking over that, I know in reality it would be shit.
