Cheat Engine

Looking for some help in using your cheat utility with vba (visualboy advance) and variants of VBA (like CE edition, vba smooth and vba-m) gba emulator for the PC

Once i find cheats for a particular rom and i close the emulator down, when I repoen/reload the emulator (vba or variants) and select the same rom then re enable the process via cheat engine, I cannot use that particular cheat again

I am guessing that VBA (and variants) loads the emulator in different areas of memory each time you reload that emulator (Win UAE is the same), i believe the emulator uses a technique called dynamic memory allocation (dma) which basically means that the emulation loads in a different area of memory each time you load the emulator

So I was wondering is there a way of finding cheats with cheatengine using vba (or variants) and using those cheats again and again each time you load the emulator and the same rom (i prefer to use cheat engine for finding cheats and not the built in cheatfinder in vba)

What you've found is probably the direct memory address, and what you would like to find, is the static memory address.
If you follow the CE tutorial in CE itself, I believe it tells you how to do it.

you can probably find the pointer to the base address of the loaded rom and apply that to all the cheats you have for the emu (you can't use the debugger, but you can use basic math to find the offsets)
