Relative to the amount they use the GPU, Source games require a bit more effort from the CPU than other games. Relative to other games, they are not heavy on CPU at all.

Yes but they do like to hog. Otherwise they would run on max if you had their recommended stuff.

Sorry Hero, source is the lightest out of all modern engines, and TF2 is probably the lightest source game. My computer can run TF2, but not gmod.

If this was the case CSS would run on my shitty netbook, and it barely does. Not to mention TF2 would run as well as neither even require hardware more advanced than pixel shader 1.0. They are much heavier than they say.
