Every time I get press the character info and setup, it always says "Not connected to Steam" when I'm logged on perfectly fine. Help.

Restart steam, if that doesn't work wait for everyone to stop raping valves servers, whenever valve releases things there servers choke dick for a few hours.

Yes, the servers are choking dick. Wait 10 minutes or so.
