hello! ive been using CE for a couple months now and have been fairly successfull with it thus far. i recently got COD Modern Warfare 2 and have made a cheat table that give me unlimited ammo, unlimited grenades, and even freeze the number of bullets in the weapons ammo clip so i never have to reload. One thing that i have been working on lately but havent succeded is figuring out how to replace a weapon that i have equipped with a totally different weapon. i searched for the text string for the weapons name (M9) and found the 4 byte hex value and its address. then i found the value and address of the Desert Eagle by searching for the text string. The only thing i havent been able to figure out is how to replace the code from one equiped weapon, into another weapon that i want equipped. anyone know what i could do to achieve this?

it could be the player object might contain an array of pointers to weapon objects it owns.
Finding it will be tricky, but perhaps you can find it based on the ammo of a specific weapon, and then trace back to the player object

yes this will take some time to figure out but i will figure it out somehow. The other problem that i have been experiencing is trying to freeze the timer for the special ops missions. I can find the static address for the timer address through text search but when i add it to the address list, switch back to the game and unpause gameplay to allow the timer to advance, the value of the static address virtually disapears? any ideas what im doing wrong?

text searches are useless for stuff that changes a lot
text is the end result of a conversion of data to text. Often the text is freed after displaying and reallocated next time it's being shown.
Just find the data the text represents
