Hey guys,
I got a problem, my PC restarts at Random Times.
It's really bugging me, considering the fact that I have some work to be done.
When I tried the advice of my friend to boot into safemode, it didn't restart.
Any ways to remove the restarting thing on my PC when I am on normal XP mode?

BTW, I had no virus (well, I removed my old virus, seems to be fine now, except for the restarting thing.)

Errm.. I can't, PLDT myDSL (my ISP) is currently under hot fixes, and I cannot connect to the internet.
I'll post the logs later, I'll get a hijackthis from a public computer.

Thanks all.

@SF: Nothing appeared before it restarted, in fact, sometimes it restarts at the Windows XP loading screen.

@Krue: can't be, i changed it few months back.

@all : Lemme check overheating, but how can I know if my PC ACTUALLY overheats?

it's not overheating, it will shut off and stay off in that case.

i'd just run through some simple hardware checks first.

get one of those air canisters and use it inside you PC case and possibly by removing the CPU Fan

I've had a problem like this, it was because there was something wrong with the power button on my computer. I went to control panel and disabled it from shutting the computer down. Maybe you can try that.

It's most likely a overheating problem.
I had the same problem with my older computer and I checked my fans which weren't working.

When a component overheats the system shuts down not restart.

Go to the system advance settings and disable the automatic restart on system failure to see what's causing the problem.

Check your board for any blown out or convex caps.
