|
|
Recently my house got broken into and a shit load of stuff was stolen so my parents got a shit load of money from insurance, they gave me about 3k to replace my stuff and i have 600$ of my own, so i need help with building or buying a good pre built computer... i live in canada so im limited to canadian web sites only or american web sites that ship to canada. 3600$ CAD is the max i can go with shipping and taxes. the only decent pre built computers i found were on ibuypower.com and even those were kind of expensive..
im not sure where to start looking to build my own so any help is appreciated. ( Just need a computer and a monitor nothing else)

if you want a really good computer spend $1800 and build it yourself. it is really easy.
if you get a pre-built it will be somewhere around 1.7x the price. look at ibuypower and cyberpower if you want pre-builts tho.

Go to NCIX and choose all the parts you want, and then click the assemble parts option.
They build it for you for $50, and it comes with 1 year limited warranty or something.
A lot better than buying prebuilt imo.

Mmm, if you have THAT much money to throw at a build, I would go with the HD5970.

lolseagate
Horrible HDD with that budget.
Get this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136322 and install your OS and your applications and games on that, but put music, pictures, documents, and pretty much everything else on this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136344

dont get a 975. oc the 920 and save the money. 2 5870s will run on a 650 watt, id recommend a 750 watt.
and instead of 2 5870s get a 5970.

When would you EVER need that much speed?
EDIT: Oh, a SINGLE 5970, not 2, read it wrong
