Firefox waiting for somethign to load before displaying it

Yesterday firefox displayed an image/video as it loaded but now for it to display it waits for it to completely load. So if I open youtube it won't play the video until it fully loads, when I try to download something nothing happens, I assume is waiting for it to download to ask me what to do.

Anyone know why or how I can fix it? Google didn't help

You could try uninstalling it then reinstalling it.
