I'm having problems where I'll find an address and everything works. When I close the game though and restart it the addresses are different.

Yeah, I'm new to CE so I'm probably missing something. Point me in the right direction

double post/bump.

After snooping around I found that I need pointers. I know what they are so no one has to explane it to me but I just don't know how to find them using CE. I tried tutorials but there to confusing. For example, when I do the "find out what writes to this address" I get nothing in the opcodes box. from then on, I'm lost.

make sure you can get the address to change it's value... and have your debugger running... you have to find a way to get to those OP codes...


if not, just try a 4byte HEX search of that address



hopefully the offset would be 0...

you need to find a pointer, just do the CE tut as slovach said.
