Can't connect to #RS on my Pre

I'm new to IRC stuff, I've entered xpiirc ,ath.cx as the "address" and set my nickname to "C0deSlinger". There is also an optional field "Alias" although I believe that is just a nickname for the connection itself...

In "Advanced" settings I can choose the Port, User, and Password... is there anything I can put in these things or should they be left alone?

When I try to connect, it says

~~~ Connecting...
~~~ Disconnected!

Right away. Help pl0x?
