hi im very new to this wonderful piece of software and just learned how to speedhack a flash game.
i found when i slow down the time of the game, it slows down the whole game as well. is there a way to just slow down the time without slowing down any other things in the game? or tell me if i have done anything wrong?
this is how i did it.
1. click process list
2. windows list. got the tab that has the game i wanna hack.
3. check the box "enable speedhack"
4. change 1.0 to 0.2
5. click apply and play the game

As far as I know, the speedhack in CE slows down everything in whatever Process you select. That's what it's supposed to do, and it's useful, in some situations.

From what you've said, you just want to slow down (or stop?) the clock in the game. Well, to do that, you'll need to find whatever value the clock is stored as, and reduce it, or freeze it completely.

You might not know how to do that, you did say that you were new. My advice is to do the CE Tutorial. It's quite useful. You can find it in the Cheat Engine folder, named Tutorial.exe. Besides that, stay on the forum, it's amazing how much you can pick up here.

Alright lucky for you I just happen to know hot to hack time (not an expert) but I do know how. This has nothing to do with speedhack, but using ce as it is supposed to be used. What you want to do is open up ce while you have your game open (obviously). Choose your game from the process list (obviously) Once you have done that (by the way this only works for games that count either down or up. By this I mean it may start at 0 and work its way up, or it starts at like 5 minutes or something and works it's way down.) Now if you want to freeze time you just the value box to unknown initial value. you search nothing (once your time has started). Now if it counts up what you need to do is for the next scan you need to change your value box to increased value. Then search and keep on searching every second/couple of seconds. You do this until you can see what you are looking for in the addresses, or if it is the only thing left. If the game counts down all you do is start by searching unknown initial value. Then for next scan you change value box to decreased value. Then just click next scan ever second/couple of seconds until you have one thing left in the address bar, or if it is apparent which is what you are looking for. That is your time. Now you just double click it, and once it is in the bottom box you just either freeze it, or make it whatever you want.
