Do the cheat engine tut and find out about pointers and the what accesses and the what writes to this address. You might find a better way to freeze the values.

Sometimes the tutorial that comes with CE can be a little confusing. You should browse the Forum here, and take a look at some pointer tutorials, there's tons of them.

Uhm, I'm not sure exactly was -0c would equal, but yes there is a calculator for these types of numbers (They're called Hexadecimal Numbers). The calculator is called Calc.exe. You can find it in the start menu of any Windows computer. With the calculator, you can go up the the menu at the top, and click on 'View' and select 'Scientific'. Your window should expand, letting you see a whole bunch of buttons (that no mere mortal could ever comprehend). You'll wanna look to the top left hand corner of the buttons. You'll see four options there; 'Hex', 'Dec', 'Oct', and 'Bin'. 'Dec' will likely be selected at the moment. Just tick the 'Hex' (Hexadecimal) button, and punch in the number you don't understand (Like -0c). After you get it put in, tick the 'Dec' again, and it'll be converted into normal numbers.
