Cheat Engine

i was hacking lots of games... im a bit experienced in cheat engine allready but i found this problem... so here it is:
I wanted to hack Warhammer 40000: Dawn of war: Sousltorm (as the trainers doesnt work for me i decided ill make my own cheats XD)
so here i was playing and i wanted to hack power and requisition (resources like money) and i found the adresses but when i change value and freeze - the in game value doesnt change but... if i unfreeze go in game and get more resources or spend some then the value in cheat engine changes... thats kinda means ir the right adress but i cant acctualy change it... whats the problem? some sort of protection maybe? anyhow, you probably only found the display value (or where playing online) and not the real value

Try different value types, it's not always 4 bytes, it can also be float or double
And looking at that script, I'd guess that requisition is a floating point value

Btw i looked at the code thingy at the topic u gave me link to.. but i dont get the point... i only know the basics...

it was floating value... the only thing at changing the value should i ignore the all the .numbers and change the only ones before the dot? like i have 10009 requisition and it says the value is:
10009.4541015625 so i just ignore the .4541015625 and switch to like 20000.4541015625 and freeze?

you can change it to whatever you like. e.g: 10009.8, or even 10010
and yes, 20000.4541015625 is also valid

can i ask? ure the creator of cheat engine rite? how did u created it? i mean i cant even use it at its half power and u created it? how? Very Happy

and btw i got another problem... when i fight in one skirmish i hacked it and in other the adress changes and it wont work again... need to find the adress once more... i tried doing as in tutorial part 5... the find who whrited thing... but it had no effect... and i cant get past tutorial part 6... its very confusing... can u help me make the code to work for all the skirmishs/campaigns?
