No no you missed the question.
Why do you "need" a portable laptop? Chances are, most of the time it's going to be sitting on your desk, and taking it into public is going to be:
1) embarassing
2) risky
3) non-productive
Laptops are certainly attractive but when you take a second to stop and seriously think of all the times it would actually provide some use that a cell phone can't... desktops sound much better.
Maybe your situation is different and you go to a college where you have to have a laptop or you have a job where you have to have a laptop in your car... but if you're like me and all you do is hang with friends, browse the internet, and work a regular job... the whole netbook thing is more of just a "me too" thing where its mainly just for show off. Which is fine, if you find great pleasure in showing off something that everyone else has too... but as far as well spent money, a desktop is where its at.

How the fuck is taking a netbook outside embarassing?
@ts, I bought a MSI netbook for $290, why would you need an expensive one for?
IMO, all netbooks are the same, except the designs and useless shits.

There's a new research chem with the same effects as marijuana, but cheap and legal. It's a pure powder you can smoke like meth, and the dose is really small... it's called JWH-018 and $600 would get you basically a couple year's supply.
But anyway as far as comments go... whats with the flash drives? My opinion on them is the same as the netbook.
I mean it's one thing to have a portable computer... but you need not just one flash key but TWO? Plus an external hard drive!? But if it's free that's cool

At least in Utah, you generally don't see people walking around with laptops or even netbooks. We use smart phones and even that's considered almost embarrassingly high tech

In L.A Cali, we don't give a fuck, we just bring a laptop/netbook wherever we go (i.e: starbucks, wi-fi hotspots place) and no one even cares about it.
And yeah, what's with the flash drive/card?
Your external hard drive already acts as a flash drive, so there's no point in getting another one.

umm, its a hard drive, not a flash drive.. the flash drive is for smaller stuff, and the hard drive is for my larger data.
