You can use those air-bags when you go swimming.
What case did you get, cause some have their own rubber garments to reduce drive noise.

you shouldnt need to worry much about that
just have your feet on the ground when your handling the parts
no need for something fancy like the wristband
there not that sensitive

Go touch something large and metal (your case works fine most of the time, so the issue is kind of moot) before screwing with any computer parts.

I bought a ESD wristband before and it's more of an annoyance than something to help you protect your computer parts, so I threw that crap in my closet and never to bother to use it again.
As for putting your feet on the ground, standing on carpet flooring can still cause ESD.
You will need to stand on a solid surface.

I bought one of the wristbands as well, but did a continuity test when it came to find that it wouldn't have done anything to help protect from static discharge. Ended up just grounding myself on the case and RMAing it, though it was probably only barely worth it to do that. (More Rosewill rebranded crap, probably.)
Anyway, static buildup has lot to do with the place you live in and time of year, etc. For example, it's usually much more dry in the winter than the summer and there is more risk of static discharge then.
