|
|
How do i make ce fast under scan, since on my comp ("4gb" ram) i tried setting up the scanbuffer (x20), but it did not make any diffrence. and i set up the thread prioritybut that only made the entier CE less resopnsive when i pressed the scan button.
And i have notice that the hyperscan often is slower then normal scan, why is this?

you could try fastscan to limit to only aligned memory locations
or set the scanbuffer to a smaller amount like 8 (sounds weird, but depending on which cpu and harddisk you got, it can go a lot faster then)
and hyperscan is slower in ce 5.5. because hyperscan doesn't make use of multithreading and ce does, and because of the setup there's not much of a difference in speed between single cpu setups
