I still use CS3 because CS4's UI is incredibly different from CS3 and therefor a mindfuck to get used to.

Not really much to get used to, all you gotta do is reposition things to where you had them on CS3...

I'd wait till CS5, comes out in April 2010.

No I installed it fine, it's just...

CS3:

CS4:

It's now entire mac-based as far as the interface goes.

Um Cryoma, really... It's just some color changes and resizing with a bunch of new stuff, not really "entirely mac-based".

I HATE IT I HATE IT I HATE IT, the dull gray really hurts my eyes.
And they also made the mouse go all black like on a mac.
But other than that, it's pretty much the same, maybe a few new features, I agree that you're better of saving for CS5.

Why does your cs4 look like mac? Mine looks normal. Question to OP: which version do you have now?

The CS5 interface for PS looks annoying... I'm more for simplicity

I highly doubt that is the default interface. The interface for Flash CS5 still looks like the CS4 interface, I'm willing to bet that the same goes for Photoshop.
