download PHX3 (also through SVN), it's a model pack with all kinds of usefull models. (Like PERFECT FLAT THINGS.)

download SmartSnap (garrysmod.org), it allows tools such as weld, constraints etc. to be placed with precision by drawing a grid on prop surfaces you aim it on, and making you auto-aim on the nearest cross with E.

and download WeightSTool (garrysmod.org), it allows you to read and change the weight of props

That's what almost everyone uses.
